“My son is autistic and, as a single mother, I have had the amazing joy of finding an organization called Children's Adaptive Team Sports (CATS). The organization is run by a young woman who has four children of her own but NONE of them are special needs. I was floored that someone so young and with her own family responsibilities could be so giving of herself and her time to kids like mine. She gives up her weekends to organize team lessons in soccer, basketball and cheer leading. Parents bring kids from around the metro area to participate in this program every weekend because when our kids are on the court they aren't kids with special needs, they're just kids. And that means more than you can imagine.”
